Ignite is a super fun class where students are introduced to many engaging ideas that are intended to spark their curiosity and light the fire of the scholar that is within them. The year is divided into 5 units that are 5-6 weeks in length. (Growth Mindset, Literature/Shakespeare, Geography, Entrepreneurship, and Critical/Analytical Thinking) Each of the units will include an assigned book to read which espouses the concepts focused on for that unit. The students will have a writing journal to fill out throughout the semester. This encourages them to work on developing not just writing skills, but also developing their own opinions and ideas on things. Each class period includes lots of activities and discussions that cultivate a love of discovery, learning, and others' uniqueness.

Embark on an extraordinary journey through the magical world of Narnia where you will discover courage, friendship, and the power of imagination! This immersive class transforms students into their own "Inklings Society" - just like C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien's famous literary circle - where they'll explore the enchanted wardrobe, meet talking beavers and noble lions, craft Turkish Delight tastings and wardrobe portals, and fill personalized "Inkling Journals" with their own creative stories and reflections. Through hands-on projects, students will dive deep into themes of good versus evil, sacrifice, and redemption while developing critical thinking skills and moral character. Each week brings new adventures with carefully chosen music, engaging discussions about real-life applications of Narnian virtues, and opportunities to share their own creative works in a supportive community that celebrates imagination, storytelling, and the timeless magic of one of literature's most beloved fantasy worlds.

Outstanding “Wizarding” Lessons: the purpose of these classes is not to teach the Harry Potter books, but rather to use them as a fun guide line to learn different subjects each week. In Harry Potter, the students went to a boarding school and studied fun classes that are not the typical school subjects. We are going to be taking the fun of these classes and introducing your pre-scholars to a variety of helpful everyday life subjects in science, history, social studies, writing, and reading. Having these fun guidelines helps keep the love of learning engaging while bringing out the “magic” of the imagination.
